Clutch and Accessories

Welcome to High Quality Store Clutch and Accessories Collection

The clutch is a mechanical device that is located between the engine and the gearbox of motor vehicles, including motorcycles: the clutch connects or disconnects the engine from the wheels, allowing you to change gear while driving.

In motorcycles the clutch is manually engaged with a control lever on the left side of the handlebar, or it is automatic, as in the case of scooters.

The clutch is composed of two fundamental parts: the conductive one, called bell, and the driven one (or hub). These are connected together by steel discs and discs coated with materials that produce friction. The pressure plate is a plate with springs that holds together the sequence of these two types of discs.

How to choose the clutch for the bike

If we have purchased a motorcycle or a scooter it is advisable to keep in mind that the clutch is fundamental for their operation and that it must be checked periodically or, if necessary, replaced, to guarantee driving in total safety.

The clutch for the bike can be a single disc, a double disc and an oil bath; hydraulic (also called automatic and often mounted on scooters) and, finally, centrifugal or traditional. The duration of a clutch does not depend exclusively on the kilometers traveled but also and above all on the power of the two wheels: the moment of greatest stress for the clutch is, in fact, the start.

When we have to buy a new clutch for our bike, this must be made of materials with good thermal conductivity and resistance to abrasion, since its operation is based on the friction force: the most common materials that make up the clutch device are the but there are also higher performance ones, such as those of synthesized friction that work at temperatures over 260 ° C and are more resistant.
