Welcome to High Quality Store Grass Seeds Collection

A beautiful lawn is the adornment of any garden or property. Tightly grown, in a lush green and well groomed, he pleases not only eyes and hearts but also bare feet. But a great lawn does not grow by itself, and even the best care does not help, if the basis is not right: the right lawn seed. Because not only when buying flowers, shrubs or vegetables, there are some things to consider if they are to thrive perfectly. Grass seed is not the same as grass seed! If you buy the wrong product, you can go to great lengths - but you will never be completely satisfied with the result. But what do you have to pay attention to when choosing the right lawn name? In principle it is not that difficult ...

Lawn seeds for different demands

First, you should consider which location your new lawn should have or under what conditions your current green space thrives. Is the location shady? Or do you want to lay your lawn in a very sunny garden? Is your soil well moist and nutrient rich or rather sandy and dry? Is your lawn a usable area and is heavily loaded - for example with sports and games? Or do you want to green a less strained area around the house? The manufacturers of lawn seeds offer different mixtures, which are adapted in their composition to the respective conditions and requirements. With a little research, you can quickly find out which grass seed is right for you.

How to find the right lawn seed

Normally, it is indicated on the packaging of the seed for which soil and light conditions the grass seeds are suitable. After that, you should follow the purchase, because accordingly, the mixture is composed. For example, lawn seeds for dry soil and sunny locations mainly contain grass species that have deep roots and therefore can draw their water from deeper soil layers. In times when it rarely rains or you do not come to water, because you are on vacation or otherwise, your turf does not dry up right away, but remains green and fresh.

In the shade of trees or shrubs, it is not easy to create a uniform green. Lawn seeds for shady, damp locations therefore contain grasses that are resilient and thrive well in sun-poor areas. These mixtures mainly contain seeds of Poa supina (Lägerrispe). This grass species has been used since the 1960s specifically for shady lawns. In comparison with other turf grasses, it has been shown that the Lägerrispe of all has the highest shadow tolerance. So if you want to shade a shady area, check that the grass seed you have selected contains this seed, and you will enjoy a healthy and hard-wearing lawn that regenerates well and has a high density.

How much grass seed do I need?

Once you have decided on a suitable grass seed, all you have to do is find out what amount of grass seed you need. This depends on the particular mixture and is therefore usually stated on the packaging. Always consider a loss of up to 10%, because a part of the seeds always falls victim to hungry birds or the wind.

Incidentally, you can see from the information also how high quality is a mixture. If a required amount of 20-25 g per square meter is given, you can assume that this grass seed is of good quality. Although not as high-quality products you pay less for the pack, but sometimes need twice the amount. So do not save in the wrong place - in the end, you pay the higher price even for low-priced products.
